Learn some slangs common during the Victorian Era to add color to your character and improve your persona. We will provide a handout with some simple phrases you can start using immediately.

McTrowell has been extorted into piloting her employer's ship, the Burke and Hare; Drake is participating at the behest of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria whose motives are yet to be revealed. Dr. Morse will read two short episodes and answer questions about the happy bedlam that is Drake & McTrowell.

We will explore these practices and how they are still in use today as part of understanding the history behind Steampunk

You don’t need to be wealthy to make a decent looking costume. I will share my secrets with attendees and let them also express their tips as well. We will help each other learn the easiest ways to create costumes on a budget.

4:30 p.m. PANEL: School House (North Calico) Steampunk Costuming – Hosted by Cerulean St. Amor of League of Supremely Evil Revolutionaries From Pattern to Wearable Outfit – This panel is for the more experienced costumer who wants to learn how to take patterns and transform it into something they can wear at an event. I will give you tips on issues I have come up with on some patterns and share materials I have used. I will also invite attendees to share anything they have experienced as well. ♪ WORKSHOP: Steampunk on the Cheap; How to Make Your Farthing Go Farther workshop. Town Hall (South Calico) Hosted by Captain Dunn The draw to Steampunk for many is the creativity involved in the attire and accessories. As well all know, frequently said attire and accessories are expensive. Well, here is your solution. This workshop will teach you some basic tips and tricks to create your own Steampunk accessories, attire and weapons for those whom are financially challenged—broke cosplayers. Captain Dunn, The Sage Lion will provide examples and tips for creating unique projects that should run under $10.00. All you have to do is bring your open mind with you and any simple and inexpensive projects you’d care to share. This is an interactive survey/workshop that will give you the mental tools necessary to go out and start creating your Steampunk outfit from top to toe.

3:30 p.m. Gunfight: In front of Lil’s Saloon ♪ PANEL: School House (North Calico) Victorian Photography- Hosted by SXXY The Victorians loved the camera and were the first to alter photographs for fun, long before Photoshop. They developed several different styles of trick photography, from fantasy to macabre. And due to a high death rate, Post-mortem photography became a common practice and necessity for families. Come and learn how the Victorians altered photographs and recreate some fun portraits digitally, Victorian style.

All guests are required to abide by the following rules at all times:
No fighting
No consumption of illegal drugs or substances
No lewd or lascivious behavior
Dogs must be on 6’ leash at all times
Weapons shall be inspected by authorized personnel for safety and peace tied (unless non firing)-Please report to the Sheriff’s Office
No alcohol will be served for anyone wearing a gun that uses any type of accelerant or projectiles of any kind (ie; black powder or bb guns).
